Organised by Italian Exhibition Group S.p.A. (IEG), the trade show company founded on 1st November by a merger between Rimini Fiera and Fiera di Vicenza, VICENZAORO January,running 20 to 25 January 2017, opens today.
Featuring 1,500 brands from 36 different countries and Italy in nine exhibition halls with a total area of 29,000 square meters, the show opens the international trade show calendar for the jewellery sector. To boost business, the show invited 500 fully hosted international buyers and 800 gold buyers.
To promote corporate social responsibility in the gold and jewellery world, this year’s show is themed ‘The Responsible Gold’ to bring attention to issues such as traceability, ethical trade and environmental protection.
A new zone, located in Hall2.2, is Small Equipment and Tools area, dedicated to a selection of companies that produce 3D printers, software and small tools.
Another newly added Design Room area showcases international award winning designers including Daniela Villegas, Zara Simon, Federica Rettore, Netali Nissim, Rodney Rayne, Nikos Koulis, Magerit, Sarah Ho, Fernando Jorge, Sutra and Elie Top.
To provide easy navigation for visitors and buyers, the show in divided into six districts according to their market positioning and values, a format which has been adopted since January 2015.
During the trade shows a number of events will organised, including the Andrea Palladio International Jewellery Awards, a congress about corporate social responsibility held in collaboration with CIBJO, a Jewellery Technology Forum Congress and more.
