This week marks the opening of the important twin fairs organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) -- the 4th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show from 28 February till 4 March 2017 at the AsiaWorld-Expo and the 34th Hong Kong International Jewellery Show from 2 to 6 March at HKCEC. A total of 4,480 exhibitors from 53 countries and regions will be showcasing their best collections across the two venues.

The diamond, gem and pearl show will feature three special zones including the ‘Hall of Fine Diamonds’ for diamonds, ‘Treasures of Nature’ for gemstones and ‘Treasures of Ocean’ for pearls.

The jewellery show is divided into nine zones, such as the ‘Hall of Fame’ for prestigious jewellery brands, the ‘Hall of Extraordinary’ for fine jewellery collection, the ‘World of Glamour’ for Hong Kong brands, the ‘Hall of Jade Jewellery’ for fei cui from Asia, etc.

Winning designs of the recently-announced Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition will be on display at Hall 1D Concourse of HKCEC. Dubbed the Oscars of the jewellery design industry, the biennial International Jewellery Design Excellence Award (IJDE) has received 165 submissions this year. The award presentation ceremony will be held on 2 March.

To foster networking and industry exchange, a series of multi-faceted programmes will be available during the two fairs. Click here for the events held at AsiaWorld Expo, and here for those held at HKCEC.
