Hong Kong-based International Jewellery Designer Association Limited (IJDA) and International Association of Jewellery Merchandize Planning Professional Limited (IAJMPP) signed a memorandum of understanding for the purpose of collaboration strategy on 3 March 2017.
Areas of collaboration listed in the MOU include development of professional training courses in jewellery design, innovation, marketing and branding strategies; establishment of a jewellery design, branding and strategy research centre and a training centre to promote the development of jewellery design, cultural exchange and knowledge platform; and planning of merchandise design, innovation and branding strategies. The MOU is effective for a period of two years from the date and may be extended upon mutual agreement of both parties.
Established in 2007, IDJA also celebrated its 10th anniversary and organised its annual jewellery show dinner on the same evening. The event was attended by representatives from various local and overseas trade bodies.
