Sotheby’s Hong Kong autumn 2017 important watches sales held on 2 October 2017 fetched a total of HK$83 million (US$11 million). A rare and limited edition sapphire tonneau-shaped skeletonized tourbillon watch RM56-02 by Richard Mille (photo 1) was sold for HK$14.5 million. Another top lot was a pink gold double dial Sky Moon Tourbillon watch with 12 complications ref 5002R by Patek Philippe (photo 2) achieved over HK$11 million.
A white gold watch Simplicity by Philippe Dufour (photo 3) was sold to an Asian private collection for over HK$1.6 million, while an MB&F fine and rare HM4 Thunderbolt titanium aerodynamic wristwatch with power reserve indication (photo 4) fetched HK$1.15 million.
