Christie’s has made nine world jewellery auction records in 2017 achieving a total of US$556.7 million worldwide, said the auction house on 15 December 2017, including:
- World auction record for any D-colour flawless diamond: The Art of de Grisogono, Creation 1 necklace, US$33,705,900 (photo 1)
- World auction record price per carat for a pink diamond: The Pink Promise diamond ring, US$32,163,900 (photo 2)
- The most historic diamond ever sold at auction: Le Grand Mazarin pink diamond, US$14,463,400
- World auction record price for a heart-shaped diamond: La Légende diamond necklace, US$14,989,000 (photo 3)
- World auction record price per carat for a fancy intense blue diamond: 7.97-carat cushion-shaped blue diamond ring, US$12,715,400
- World auction record price per carat for an emerald: The Rockefeller-Winston Emerald ring, US$5,511,500
