The Women’s Jewellery Network (WJN) has released the #NoGlassCeiling social media campaign. Bold image stating #NoGlassCeiling in black and white the WJN shared over Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, then those who work in the UK jewellery industry. The campaign aims to break the glass ceiling on UK women in the jewellery industry.
The #NoGlassCeiling campaign is WJN’s first social event, will be held on March 8th – International Women’s Day. The event will feature discussions on the opportunities that exist for women working in the UK trade with career women in jewellery industry including award-winning British designer, Alex Monroe and Emma Burgin, head of jewellery and silver at Lyon & Turnbull, Kate Flitcroft and jewellery storyteller and influencer, Beanie Major.
“We have created #NoGlassCeiling to allow women to visually declare the viewpoint that the so-called glass ceiling designed to hold us back doesn’t exist — what does exist is our shared ambition and determination to grow our careers, businesses and skills to achieve true success in the UK jewellery trade,” said WJN founder Victoria McKay.
