Vicenzaoro January Jewellery Show organized by the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) ran from 19 to 24 January notched up a remarkable success with a 10 percent increase in buyers and an estimated more than 96,000 visitors which came from 130 countries and regions, confirming its role as the most important jewellery show in the European continent.
The show hosted over 1,500 brands, 40 percent of which came from 35 countries. Buyers from Germany jumped 22 percent, United Kingdom scored 14 percent more of presences, Greece 20 percent, Russia 15 percent, Ukraine 13 percent and Turkey a significant increase by 34 percent. Only Spain in Europe recorded a decrease in presence.
There were 36,000 more entries compared to the show in January 2017. Visitors from United States boosted 24 percent, Japan by 31 percent, China by 29 percent and United Arab Emirates by 9 percent. The greatest increase of 51 percent goes to India.
“Vicenzaoro January opens in a highly positive context, both in terms of confirmations coming in of a recovery in demand for gold, and of the significant results that our group is proving to obtain at this and at the other 60 shows in our company’s portfolio,” said Lorenzo Cagnoni, president of organizer Italian Exhibition Group (IEG).
The next edition of Vicenzaoro will take place in Vicenza from 22 to 26 September; and the next January show will be held 18-23 January 2019.
