London-based gemstone mining guru Gemfields has recently partnered with Savelli, a jeweller and smartphone supplier in Geneva, to create a series of limited edition luxury mobile phones set with Zambian emeralds from the miner.
The series of two models, Emerald Night and Emerald Insane, is exclusively sold at Harrods’ Fine Jewellery Room in London. Set in 18-karat rose gold with 400 brilliant-cut emeralds weighing 3 carats in total, the Emerald Night model is limited to 19 pieces. Made of 18-karat white gold, Emerald Insane features 75 baguette-cut emeralds and 900 diamonds respectively weighing 4.5 carats and 12.5 carats in total, limited to eight pieces.
