The Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) presented comprehensive details on 16 May 2018 in Vicenza about its project to upgrade and expand the city’s exhibition centre, Fiera di Vicenza. The Hall 2 project which was originally outlined in the industrial plan and approved last December by the IEG board of directors will involve an investment of 35 million euro.
The reconstructed Hall 2 which will be built on two levels instead of the current five will be equipped with functional and sustainable technologies that will allow IEG to host more numerous and diverse types of events, with particular attention being paid to meeting the needs and development of shows linked to the gold and jewellery industry, and especially Vicenzaoro.
According to the organiser, Vicenza today is considered an international hub of indispensable importance for the jewellery world, with Vicenzaoro shows serving as the leading platforms for high-end brands and the skilled and qualified producers of jewellery products.
Over the past three years, despite unfavourable market dynamics, Vicenzaoro has been particularly successful in strengthening its role in Europe and the Middle East becoming a dominant player in both regions, said IEG.
A key element in Vicenzaoro’s most recent development was the investment made in the construction of Hall 7 at the Vicenza exhibition centre, which opened in 2015. The occupancy level at the exhibition centre has become high consistently equaling over 98 percent with exhibitor requests for stands continuing to grow.
The next major show in Vicenza will be Vicenzaoro September which will be held 22-26 September 2018. Other important events include Vicenzaoro@JCK in Las Vegas, during 1-4 June 2018, and the VOD Dubai International Jewellery Show during 14-17 November 2018.
