Chow Tai Fook Group (CTF) has won two invention prizes under the category of jewellery machinery at the 46th International Exhibition of Invention Geneva in Switzerland.
A gold medal is awarded to the T MARK nano-inscription. With the technology, each CTF T MARK diamond is inscribed with a “T MARK” marking by a nano-inscription technology with no chemical residue, which enables customers to check the life cycle of a diamond.
The automatic machine for diamond setting operation is awarded a silver medal. The machine is designed to apply on claw prongs settings on various jewellery products, which enhance operation efficiency.
During the joint press conference of Hong Kong Federation of Invention & Innovation (HKFII) and Hong Kong Federation of Innovative Technology and Manufacturing Industries (FITMI) for the announcement of all award winners from Hong Kong, HKFII president Lui Sun Wing said: “Under our encouragement, many local companies exhibited these two years. Most of them are SMEs.” “We are planning to organise a similar exhibition in Hong Kong. Hope that Hong Kong will be an invention and innovation hub in Asia in the future,” he added.
