The India International Jewellery Show organised by the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai from 9 to 13 August. The 35th edition has provided an extra 800 booths. GJEPC said most of the exhibitors saw a significantly higher business transaction, compared to the last few editions. According to a survey by Diamond World magazine, the growth of visitors jumped from 35,000 in 2017 to 40,000 this year, along with a 30 percent sales uptick.
“We will definitely increase the number of booths next year and accommodate more companies from the waiting list,”Convener of GJEPC’s National Exhibitions Committee Shailesh Sangani said. Some sections may move to a new venue if the Reliance Convention Centre is ready.
