Christie’s spotlights the largest fancy vivid pink diamond ever auctioned by the auction house, The Pink Legacy, in its magnificent jewellery sale in Geneva on 13 November 2018. The 18.96-carat rectangular-cut stone is expected to fetch a record price of US$30 million - $50 million, has a prominent pedigree, descended from the Oppenheimer family, a South African family owned 40 percent of De Beers. The second most expensive diamond ever sold was owned by the Oppenheimer family, hammered for US$57.2 million in 2016.
