Alrosa subsidiary JSC Almazy Anabara recovered a 28.59 carats deep greenish-yellow rough at its Ebelyakh alluvial deposit, the biggest yellow rough found this year. The company is studying the stone in detail, Evgeny Agureev, director of the United Selling Organization (USO) of Alrosa said “in advance that it is fancy vivid yellow” with a “small inclusion in the intermediate zone”.
Almazy Anabara dug up a 27.85-carat pink diamond, the largest pink stone in Alrosa's history, and a large 34.1-carat vivid yellow diamond last year.
