The Singapore Jewellery & Gem Fair (SJGF) will open next Friday, 26 October, at Marina Bay Sands. In addition to jewellery showcases from around the world, the artistic event will present informative seminars, creative workshops, art showcase and more.
More than 150,000 timeless pieces, jewellery collections and bespoke pieces such as fine jewellery, gemstones and pearls will be feasting the eyes of visitors, according to organiser UBM Exhibition Singapore Pte Ltd.
Flagship jewellers such as Ekos, Fook’s Jewelry, Futang, Kourosh, Naing Family Mogok Gems & Jewellery, Rikhava Diamonds, Vihari Jewels and Yoel Deil Diamonds are some of the exhibitors from 15 countries and regions returning to SJGF.
Country pavilions housing renowned jewellers from Cambodia, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore and Thailand will be present to display craftsmanship and unique characteristics of home-grown jewellers.
Besides established jewellers, the event will unravel designs and jewellery pieces from newcomers - Cadeaux Ginkgo, Crystal Creations, Exclusive Jewellery, Glajz-THG, Sara Taseer Fine Jewellery, 5P World, etc.
A new ‘Designer Atelier Pavilion’ will debut to feature jewellery designers from Singapore and the region including Carrie K, An Order of Bling, Obellery Studio, Chrysalis Jewels, Solo Jewels, MyDesign of Gems, Love Thy Stones, etc.
An exciting line-up of complimentary activities including seminars on jewellery design and making, hands-on workshops on enameling and rose pendant arrangement, ring design competition, gem exhibition and networking sessions, is scheduled to provide visitors with a chance to broaden their knowledge on gems and jewellery.
For one day only, visitors can witness art and jewellery brought to life at a live demonstration by Australian body camouflage artist, Emma Hack, who will camouflage a model into a specially created background through a special painting technique.
‘Art & Lifestyle Showcase’ will return to SJGF 2018. Featuring contemporary art, crafts, furniture and a wide range of lifestyle products, it is the perfect creative space for visitors to immerse themselves in an exquisite experience.
Organised by the Singapore Jewelers Association (SJA), the Singapore Jewellery Design Award 2018 aims to recognise and encourage budding international jewellery designers. Top three winners will be announced at SJGF, with the most outstanding designs made into jewellery pieces and marketed alongside those of leading jewellers.
