Graff Diamonds has revealed the first 60 D-colour polished diamonds that cut from the 1,109 carats Lesedi La Rona rough (photo 1), the second largest rough in history after the 3,106 carats Cullinan diamond, which was acquired for US$53 million last September from Lucara Diamond. Each is verified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and laser-inscribed with both Graff and Lesedi la Rona as well as a GIA number for its uniqueness. The diamonds are from under a carat to over 100 carats. "Graff’s designers have envisaged a collection of striking rings (photo 2), earrings and pendants,” the company said.
